Step 1
Make sure your Pocket PC handheld device meets our minimum system requirements.

Step 2
Installation of the pipesAnywhere application to your Windows Mobile device is performed using your desktop computer, Microsoft’s ActiveSync application and a connection between your computer and the device.
If you haven’t yet installed ActiveSync onto your computer, do so now. The ActiveSync installer should come with the device on a CD. If you don’t have a copy, the latest version can be downloaded from Microsoft’s Windows Mobile site.
Step 3
‘Reboot’ or ‘Reset’ your device. Often there is a reset button on the back of the device somewhere but you’ll need to consult your device’s manual for detailed instructions.
Step 4
Connect your handheld device to the desktop computer and synchronize it (Usually, just attaching the device to the desktop will activate and run ActiveSync.) Consult your device’s manual for specific instructions on using ActiveSync.
Step 5
Ensure that your handheld device is connected to the desktop computer and Microsoft ActiveSync reports ‘Connected’ and ‘Synchronized’.
Step 6
On the desktop computer, run ‘j9.exe’ to install ‘IBM J9 VM’. This installs software required by your device in order to run our Java application and is only necessary the first time you install the software, or if you have to reinstall the application completely. Please follow any on-screen installation instructions.
Step 7
On the desktop computer, run ‘thinkanywhere.exe’. This installs the actual trading software platform onto your device. Please follow any on-screen installation instructions.
When a new version of our software is released, follow the same steps listed above to update the application to the latest version, but skip step number 4 (installation of IBM J9 VM). Always reboot device before starting installation or update process to make sure that installation completes fully and successfully.
